This weekend we traveled from our home in Marlow, NH to Branford CT for a family wedding. It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony with around 150 people and three dogs (who participated in the bridal procession). The reception afterwards was a lot of fun, with plenty of food, dancing and toasts in honor of the happy couple.
The next day, we took advantage of the gathering of family from several states to have a family picnic on the waterfront in Mystic, CT. I had tossed a cornhole set in the back of my Subaru Forester to deliver to my sister, who would be bringing it back to her home in Indiana. We set up the cornhole set in the grass and got in a few rounds, while our assorted kids played on the playground nearby and ran around in the grass. The board held up well when my 6-year-old niece ran up it and then stood at the top. 😀
